A Great First Day!
We were all happy to see students old and new settling right in on Wednesday. As soon as they got off the buses and out of cars, kids were joyfully reuniting and making new friends. We came together for our first Meeting for Worship of the year and shared lots of announcements about things we did over the summer.
Kids dove right into curriculum this week. Check out how new Librarian and Tech Teacher Jill Work had students learning to code on the first day of school.
Since Last We Met…
After school let out for the Summer, exciting things were still happening on campus. Kate McInerney-Rowley, our Pre-K Assistant Teacher, lead five fun weeks of Seedlings Camp. Campers did yoga, cooked together, ran a lemonade stand, learned Spanish, played in the pool, and more! And last year’s Interim Head of School, David Kern, took a group of older students on a camping and hiking expedition. Here’s a haiku one camper wrote about the experience:
The woods are muddy,The trees have woodpecker holes,And it was awesome.
