6th Grade Research Project and Poster Session

The students in 6th grade have been hard at work on a long term research project.  After selecting a topic to research solo or in groups, 6th graders went to work. The skills they strengthened throughout the process include: writing  essential question and a thesis statement, conducting an interview, and synthesis of findings in an informative poster. Once the posters were introduced to the pod, the class took part their very own poster session, which allowed each researcher to teach small groups of classmates about their research process and learnings.  Students heard about current topics including coding, exoplanets, and Covid-19 from our 6th grade experts.  What a wealth of knowledge!
