Little House Pre-K Celebrates Hanukkah

Little House Pre-K enjoyed celebrating Hanukkah this week. Students made Stars of David, which the kids thought would be difficult, but were pleasantly surprised that they simply had to make two triangles and put them together!

Playing the dreidel game offered up some serious math, as students had to figure out how many was half of the pot when they landed on “hey.”

After watching the candles burn on the menorah and listening to Hanukkah blessings songs, we talked about how it made us feel. Students reflected that they felt “love,” “happy,” and “like a family.”

Wassail and Winter Lights: Friday, December 17

Families are invited to campus on Friday, December 17 to enjoy our Winter Lights display. In lieu of the annual Plymouth Winter Wassail and Holiday Singalong, a beautiful display of luminaria created by all of the students in art class with Gillian will be on display in the campus Meetinghouse. We encourage families to walk through the display and find peace and joy in the lights of the season.

Parents and household members are invited to gather outside on the Meetinghouse Patio for beverages and snacks beginning at 2:15pm. (Remember to leave food and drinks outside of the Meetinghouse.)

Please help us maintain our campus health and safety protocols by gathering outdoors; limiting the number of people inside the Meetinghouse while viewing the luminaria; and wearing masks when not eating and drinking

Students will take their luminaria home at the end of the day on Friday, December 17.

Please Share your Child’s Covid Vaccination Status

Parents have been sharing with us that their children are being vaccinated, and we’ve received quite a few “high-fives” on the playground from students proudly announcing that they received one or both shots. We’d like to request that parents please let us know your child’s covid vaccination status by emailing Kali in the office. Complete and accurate information about the children in our community will help us as we move forward into the spring.
