It’s Party Time in Little House

Recently our Little House Pre-K students asked to turn their dramatic play area into a birthday party. To prepare the center, they decorated, wrapped gifts, made party hats, and wrote out invitations and birthday cards. Then they played! Dramatic play engages children in literacy, math, science, and social studies, but most importantly it increases self-regulation, confidence, and language skills. And yes, with imagination, party streamers easily become leashes for pet dogs!

When Communication and Coordination Meet

Pod 3/4 has been showing off their jump rope skills! To perform this jump rope routine, the 3rd and 4th graders had to use communication, teamwork, and their practiced skills. They were so proud of their accomplishments!

Coming Soon: ArtsFest

We are thrilled that this year we will return ArtsFest to its rightful place – in person, on campus, on Saturday May 7 from 2 to 4pm!
ArtsFest is a celebration of the vibrant Arts community here at school. In addition to the opening of the school-wide art show in the Corson Lobby, there will also be festivities on campus going on concurrently:
  • Students will be performing art demonstrations! Learn a new art technique from one of our students in the art building!
  • Students will be busking and performing on their instruments – check out some of our live musicians as they accompany your art enjoyment experience!
  • 5th Graders will be doing a LARP – mingling in the crowds as a character created by them. Can you guess who they are and who they’re related to?
  • Circus Performers will be giving you a taste of what you’ll see at the Circus!
  • And more!
Obviously, this celebration is made possible by you, our PMFS community, and we are so grateful for your support.
If your child has volunteered to give a demo or perform musically or otherwise, Gillian, Alyssa, Christy, and Will will be in touch with you directly in the next couple of weeks.
We look forward to seeing you on May 7!
