Plymouth Meeting Friends School (Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania) seeks a part-time Physical Education teacher for Early Childhood-6th Grade. Previous relevant, Friends school experience preferred.

We seek a diverse pool of highly qualified applicants for a three and a half day Physical Education Teacher position starting in the 2018–19 school year. Familiarity with Quaker philosophy of education and testimonies, physical education teaching experience in the Early Childhood – 6th grade setting, and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. Successful candidates will have experience with developmentally appropriate practices, responsive classroom techniques, differentiating instruction for a broad range of ages and abilities, and should possess strong classroom management skills.

The Physical Education teacher will: create and implement physical education curriculum for Early Childhood (3–5 years) to 6th Grade, organize campus-wide events such as Field Day and 6th Grade-Faculty kickball game, maintain regular communication with lead teachers and fellow specials teachers, schedule team games and transportation as needed for PMFS Ex-Day soccer and basketball teams, and will staff afterschool program for the first hour, once a week.
