  • Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is the school’s most important fundraising priority, as unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund allow us to make up the difference between tuition and the cost of a PMFS education. The support of alumni, parents, grandparents, friends, alumni parents, School Committee, members of Meeting, faculty, and staff means that virtually no aspect of PMFS goes untouched by your support of the Annual Fund. We encourage you to contribute each year.
  • Matching Gifts

Many companies match gifts to non-profit organizations by their employees, spouses of employees, and retired employees. If your employer participates in a matching gift program, your contributions can be multiplied two or more times. Contact your company to see if they participate in this program.
  • Tributes

Gifts in honor or in memory of a loved one are special tributes to members of the PMFS community and are deeply appreciated by the school.
  • Recurring Support

Recurring gifts, made through pre-authorized credit card transactions, make your support of PMFS easy and assists the school in budgetary planning; these gifts can be open-ended or limited to a specific time.
  • Gifts of Stock & Securities

Gifts of appreciated securities are a tax-wise way to support PMFS. If you give stocks or mutual funds that you have held more than one year to Plymouth, you may avoid capital gains tax and receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of the securities.
  • Planned Giving

Your gift to Plymouth Meeting Friends School as a part of your comprehensive estate plan ensures the future of PMFS. The most familiar way to make a planned gift is through a charitable bequest in your will, or naming PMFS as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance policy.  Life income gifts, such as Charitable Gift Annuities, are popular ways to make a gift to Plymouth that pays you and your family income for life such that, at the conclusion of the annuity, the remainder of the gift is given to the school.
  • Tax Credit Programs

The Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit and the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Programs enable businesses and individuals to support need-based tuition assistance at Plymouth Meeting Friends School and also earn PA state tax credits and federal tax deductions for your contribution.

When an approved business or individual commits to participating in the program for two consecutive tax years, they may be eligible for a tax credit equal to 90% of the total contribution. Get more details at Tax Credit Programs
  • In Kind Donations

We gratefully accept gifts of books, supplies, equipment, and other useful items. If you have something specific to donate, please contact the Development Office so we can match your gift with the greatest need.

What I Know

by Maya Rabinowitz, '2012
The sapphire sky, the crisp air, and a wave of nostalgia
lifts me off the ground, carries me
back to my days here
when I knew I could reach for that glittering sky,
yet still have the ground beneath me
ready to catch me if I fell.
Here, where I never questioned
the love, joy, magic of the world.
Here I was not blind to reality.
If anything, my eyes were more open
watching, looking for all the beauty.
I was raised here
leaning against the ancient maple tree,
knowing,
even at 7 or 8
that this was a good life.
