The PMFS campus is located at the corner of Germantown & Butler Pikes. Most students come from within a 10-mile radius of the school. Students arrive at PMFS by car or school district busing.
Getting to PMFS
School districts in Pennsylvania provide busing for every resident child who attends a non-public school within ten miles of their home school district’s boundary. There is no cost to parents for this service; it is covered by resident taxes. Busing to PMFS is available at the level it is provided to public school students: Philadelphia students in First to Sixth Grade can ride buses; Kindergarten through Sixth Grade students in most other area districts can bus.
Families organize busing by registering with PMFS in the Spring for the following year and by filling out any school district-mandated forms. The following public school districts have provided busing to PMFS in the past (if your district is not represented, contact PMFS to inquire if busing is available):
When students arrive at Plymouth Meeting Friends School by bus, they are greeted by a faculty member. School begins at 8:00 am for Kindergarten through Sixth Grade and at 8:15 am for Pre-K.
Plymouth Meeting Friends School is accessible by public transportation. SEPTA’s L bus travels from Mount Airy, Wyndmoor, Chestnut Hill, and other points west of the school and stops at the intersection of Germantown Pike and Butler Pike, right outside the school’s walls.
